The Queensland Mining Awards have announced the 2020 finalists, with winners to be revealed on September 23 at the Gala Awards Dinner in Mackay.

The Queensland Mining Awards have announced the 2020 finalists, with winners to be revealed on September 23 at the Gala Awards Dinner in Mackay.

Finalist entries addressed safety and risk reduction using creative strategies that access the latest thinking and technology, impressing the judging panel with problem-solving that will benefit the resources industry in coming decades.

Entries were peer-judged by a panel of senior executives from major resources companies, in corporate management, procurement and site-based management. This year, the panel included:

Winners will be revealed at the QMA Gala Awards Dinner, sponsored by National Group on 23 September in Mackay, during a glittering celebration of all finalists in front of industry peers and influencers. Mr Tyler Mitchelson, CEO, Anglo American Metallurgical Coal will deliver the keynote address.
